From the World's Best Restaurant, Noma
René Redzepi

Fresh from winning the Number One spot at this year's S.Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurants awards, Danish wunderkind René Redzepi of Noma, Copenhagen, presents his culinary vision at Sydney Opera House.

As head chef at the extraordinary Noma restaurant in Copenhagen, Redzepi has captured the imagination of serious food lovers worldwide with his highly individual interpretation and presentation of Nordic cuisine.

His exclusive Australian appearance is the opening event of the Crave Sydney International Food Festival, presented by Citibank, and begins his worldwide tour to launch his first major cookbook, Noma: Time and Place in Nordic Cuisine (Phaidon Press RRP $69.95).

Since taking the World's Number One restaurant spot from five-times winner Ferran Adria of el Bulli in Spain, Redzepi's tiny 40 seat restaurant receives more than 100,000 reservation requests each month.

His inspirational, innovative cuisine champions the local and seasonal with unprecedented creativity. His thoughts on sustainability and cooking with wild-sourced, indigenous produce are revolutionary and thought-provoking in a way that transcends a simple gourmet experience.
